Language Tables
As a supportive foundation, BILDEV organizes periodical Language Tables for developing the skills of its research affiliates. Language selections will be according to the needs of the research team and project themes. A table consists of two kinds of weekly “Skills Session” classes, and “Text Session” classes. Skills Sessions target practice speaking, listening and writing skills, while Text Sessions target practice reading skills. Tables are designed to develop language skills in three ways:
For participants to become more confident using the language within their research field and as a language of cultural and intellectual exchange.
To help each participant use the language as a tool for scholarly practice.
To build each participant’s practical language skills (i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing).
Currently, only English language tables are being conducted, however, further
language tables are planned. Each table will have its own schedule and program.
